The Company:

This role sits specifically within Pulse, OPR's consumer brand business. We have around 40 people based in Sydney and Melbourne and work with some of Australia's biggest brands including eBay, American Express, Netflix, Microsoft and Ford. The Role:

Pulse is looking for a passionate, culturally connected Account Director/Senior Account Director to join its world class team of brand storytellers. You will be leading the Xbox Asia team, a close-knit and high-functioning group of gaming, tech and entertainment enthusiasts, responsible for setting the agenda for Xbox and gaming in ANZ as well as a broader APAC region.

As a senior member of the pulse team, you will play an integral role in steering brand strategy and providing high level counsel to your clients.

You'll have the opportunity to work on other clients within the pulse family, flexing your consumer and brand communications muscles and benefiting from the diverse talent and experience that comes with the backing of the wider OPR and WPP family.

Within this role, you will also focus on new business, have gravitas with your clients and colleagues and will add more depth to your client capabilities. You'll show personal and professional commitment to the business and play a lead role in winning new business and building our business together. The real difference in seniority is the growth in marketable sector/industry/client expertise that you bring to the business.

We're looking for a switched-on, well-rounded team player who is keen to join the Pulse family in making magic for our clients in 2021 and beyond.

Here's the expertise you have, that we'll build on:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Deep experience in the gaming and/or consumer technology space
  • Strong media and influencer contacts in the gaming space, as well as a deep knowledge of the sector
  • Ability to maintain a positive and calm attitude in a high-pressure environment
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, with a focus on delivering outstanding results for your client
  • Credible counsel and creativity that make your client trust you
  • Provide flawless execution of large consumer campaigns
  • Ability to interpret and provide strong responses to briefs
  • Be able to lead large teams by example and walk the talk from the front
  • Thorough insight and control of your client's budgets
  • Heavy hitting media skills and experienced understanding of consumer brand business
