Reporting to GroupM's Global People COO, this role is responsible for leading the transformation of operational procedures, practices and systems to establish a proactive and modern approach to how the business and its employees engage with HR. By developing shared service delivery solutions that focus on transparency, efficiency and consistency, the Global People Operations and Transformation Lead will work with global and regional HR and business stakeholders to implement a new approach. Core to their role will be overseeing the implementation of Workday HCM globally.

In addition to setting the strategy and approach for GroupM , the Global People Operations and Transformation lead will align with WPP as it also evolves its People Operating Model to shape a seamless support model.
  • Providing the vision, leadership and management for the global people operations capability
  • Driving globally consistent process design and implementation of the people infrastructure (tech stack, and people processes) to support and guide teams
  • Direct and manage strategic people policies and procedures with vendors and partnerships to accomplish GroupM's goals and objectives
  • Be a key member of the Global People leadership team
  • Shape and define the overall people operations strategy as part of the GroupM people operating model (i.e. center of value) so that it can be implemented as a shared service delivery function for regions, markets and agencies
  • Build, develop and lead a high performing team of global people operations regional leads
  • Oversee and drive the implementation of Workday HCM, manage a team led by a global HCM lead and regional counterparts
  • Own the development, continuous improvement and governance of all people policies, procedures, and operating rhythms
  • 12-15+ years of experience in people operations, including at least 5+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Experience leading a high performing modern operationally focused global team
  • Demonstrated systems thinker, an expert at designing and implementing systems and processes that scale (with particular deep knowledge of Workday HCM)
  • Strong HR fundamentals, understanding the technical side of the people space, such as compliance and employment law requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to run an existing people operations function, while concurrently designing and planning for future people operations and tech stack needs
  • Experience rolling out organization wide processes and systems
  • An ability to measure impact with data and provide rich dashboard reporting and transparency
  • Ability to work and think quickly in a fast-paced however highly matrixed large global organization
