Who we are looking for:

Wunderman Thompson Commerce, a division of Wunderman Thompson, is seeking an Associate Director, Digital Shopper Media & eCommerce who will be responsible for helping to lead and manage investment/buying activities associated with one or more assigned accounts. The Associate Director provides leadership, strategic direction, and input for spending across major retailer sites (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, etc) while monitoring client budgets and adherence to KPI's.

What you'll do:

  • Lead | Help lead, create, and manage all shopper Investment strategies and activities of an assigned brand account(s) across all digital touch points. Write POV's, Lead Key Initiatives, Programs/Partnerships, Negotiations, and Vendor Rate Cards.
  • Workflow | Work with project leads to ensure project is successfully within budget, timeline, and scope. Manage and direct the requests/projects for the group. Interface with Client Brand Teams, Field Shopper Marketing, Promotions, couponing, e-Commerce, CRM and partner agencies.
  • Analyze | Mine consumer insights through Retailer media data, attitudes, behaviors, and psychographics to identify audience target touch points. Drive those audiences with digital retailer media to engage and purchase our Brands in Mass, Drug, Grocery, and Value retailer channels.
  • Develop | Develop RFP's. Create and oversee project to ensure timely completion through all phases; take lead on quality control issues; write and present project plans in collaboration with other team members and develop required documentation for all projects.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum of 6 years previous digital planning/buying experience (minimum of 3 years of shopper marketing experience needed).
  • Past experience working with Retailer media networks like Walmart Connect, Roundel, Amazon, Quotient, Criteo, Instacart, WAG, CMX, Sam's Club Media Group, etc.
  • Solid understanding of online metrics and strong negotiating skills.
  • Working knowledge of interactive research tools such as ComScore Media Metrix, Nielsen, Placed, IRI, etc. is preferred.
  • Technical proficiency, particularly with media systems and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
