About the Team:

Business Science, which encompasses Digital Analytics, is one of the fastest growing fields within MediaCom and focuses on (1) providing data and analytics services to our clients, (2) developing optimal processes for managing data and performing analytics and (3) innovating in methods and algorithms used for data and analytics. MediaCom Business Science gives clients the power and confidence to make smarter investment decisions. The Business Science team supplies a wide range of advanced measurement options to drive business, channel & campaign planning as well as support our teams in developing optimization for clients, helping to set clear action plans for improvement.

Business Science is staffed with a team of professionals trained and dedicated to three specific areas: Cross Channel Measurement, Digital Analytics and Business Consultation. About the Role:

The Business Science and Analytics Associate Director is expected to demonstrate the following skills/experience: hands-on experience in quantitative data analysis, creative problem solving, comfort and familiarity with manipulating massive amounts of data, the ability to develop/analyze business cases, research skills, excellent oral and written communication/ presentation skills, client focused and the ability to support and enable teamwork, self-motivated and able to operate independently with limited guidance and direction.

Your Impact:
  • Provide on-going analytical support utilizing marketing mix modeling, forecasting and other custom analytic approaches to address a wide variety of client issues including media and new products.
  • Present to clients and prospective clients on results of current projects as well as new business opportunities.
  • Work on-site with the client, when appropriate.
  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Manage projects that primarily focus on the impact and/or ROI (return on investment) of media and marketing activities (including advertising, promotional activities, and pricing strategies).
  • Work in an integrated fashion with client marketing insight and marketing professionals to make recommendations based on analyses and experience.
  • Develop, train and groom team including Analysts, Sr. Analysts, Managers, Sr. Managers, helping to elevate team's story telling skill and media knowledge
  • Collaborate across MediaCom disciplines and across other WPP agencies to help address client questions and solve business issues.

Your Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Experience with sales forecasting, advertising effectiveness, consumer profiling, market mix and ROI measurement.
  • Knowledge of a variety of analytic and data visualization tools (Tableau, Datorama preferred, however, knowledge in Business Objects is acceptable)
  • Knowledge of building, managing and maintaining integrated databases a plus (or having the technical know-how to manage a team through this task)
  • Comprehensive understanding of metrics: Media (e.g. impression, GRP, CPV etc.), Measurement analytics, Quantitative business measures (LTV, ROI, Effectiveness, etc.), Statistics (Correlations, sample sizing, t-value VIF etc.).
  • Experience in Media ROI Optimization Consulting required
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Mining Applications a must.
  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of client marketplace, competitive landscape and business drivers
  • Has solid command of the media landscape, major players, partner core competencies and research/technology.
  • Excellent communications skills when addressing both research and non-research audiences.
  • Proactively engages with client team to shape media and measurement approaches to improve strategy
  • Exhibits strong analytical, project management, storytelling and communication skills
  • Visual techniques for data analysis and presentation and skilled business writer
  • Passion for data driven decision making and continued learning experiences
  • Ability and desire to produce POVs to justify decisions and/or educate
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Independently responsible
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment under high pressure
  • Proven track record of dealing directly with clients is required.
  • Able to work in a team environment.

Your Qualifications:
  • 7+ years' experience in data and marketing analysis, with emphasis in the area of Marketing Mix Analysis
  • Experience with ad-serving platforms and web analytics tools
  • Experience leading and managing a team
  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters a plus.
