About the Team:

Business Science and Analytics (BSA) is one of the fastest growing fields within MediaCom and focuses on (1) providing data and analytics services to our clients, (2) developing optimal processes for managing data and performing analytics and (3) innovating in methods and algorithms used for data and analytics. MediaCom Business Science and Analytics gives clients the power and confidence to make smarter investment decisions. The B SA team supplies a wide range of advanced measurement options to drive business, channel & campaign planning as well as support our teams in developing optimization for clients, helping to set clear action plans for improvement.

BSA is staffed by a team of professionals trained and dedicated to three specific areas: Cross Channel Measurement, Digital Analytics and Business Consultation. We recognize individual skillset and career aspirations when building teams and creating departmental development opportunities.

About the Role:

The Manager is the center of data analysis and insight development . This position is responsible for campaign deliverables including, but not limited to, performance reporting, measurement strategy adherence , business reviews, media and creative tests, creative analysis, budget forecasting and data accuracy.

Your Impact:
  • Act as primary day-to-day contact on project development and execution; lead this internally by coordinating with junior team members and liaise with upper management and junior client stakeholders
  • Proactively provide and implement process improvements to enhance data strategy, speed/accessibility of output generation
  • Actively participate in the development of learning agenda and measurement plans
  • RFP necessary measurement partners as they see fit per the goals of each campaign/initiative
  • Understand, recommend, and carr y through on all aspects of measurement strategy, from conception, recommendation, implementation, and reporting, ensuring timely delivery of these deliverables
  • Use results and data from past campaigns/initiatives and external, syndicated data sources to assist in the development of creative and media strategies internally and cross-agency
  • Analyze large / raw data (sets), to draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations to improve campaign performance
  • Create and present compelling presentations that tell a story, have a clear point of view, and provide media/business implications
  • Ensure all client materials are on strategy, delivered on time and meet client expectations
  • Establish strong relationship with client through a demonstration of industry knowledge and of client's basic business issues
  • Manage and mentor junior staff
  • Adept at communicating effectively across all levels and managing workflow
  • Exercise diplomacy as applicable
  • Capable of working successfully within a team as well as independently
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships interdepartmentally, with clients and across WPP cross-agency teams
  • Ability to navigate difficult/challenging conversations with win/win outcomes
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed

Your Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of media planning process and methods for budget allocation for media and fees across all media platforms
  • Visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
  • Knowledge of ingesting large amounts of data into a visualization tool a must (Power BI, Data Studio, Tableau)
  • Possesses both strategic and tactical skill sets with an eye for numbers, proficient at problem solving with a strong command of online and offline media.
  • Strong knowledge of the media landscape, partners, trends that can impact clients and the day to day
  • Knowledge or have worked with syndicated research tools and attribution, such as Nielsen, IRI, Kantar-Millward Brown, etc.
  • Good understanding of the application of internet technologies and products including ad-serving, trafficking, tracking mechanisms, HTML, etc.
  • Solid command of site and ad tracking as it pertains to media exposure
  • Manage client requests independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery of projects and timely communication follow-ups with stakeholder groups
  • Ability and desire to produce POVs to justify decisions and/or educate internal and external stakeholders
  • Simplify the complex and communicate clear storylines and business implications (grounded on data)
  • Comfortable presenting results to leadership and clients in a compelling and concise manner
  • Translate key action items from strategy meetings
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve current business practices and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint are musts)
  • Manages team timelines and his/her own timeline independently; understands how to prioritize key projects and tasks

Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years relevant work experience in digital analytics or marketing science at a marketing consulting firm, advertising agency, consultancy, or publisher
