The MCR department is responsible for the quality control of broadcast, content and social assets across ingest and delivery. Central to this is to ensure efficient and smooth post production workflows to our editors, colourists and VFX teams, and the QC of finished deliverables. Currently there are x7 members of the team.
The role of the MCR Supervisor is to support the Head of MCR in overseeing all the operations within the MCR department across Creative Content, Versioning and Adaption.
You will have full understanding of all the technological aspects of the chain, from camera origination and recording, to transfers and data integrity, to consultation.
For incoming shoot material, you should be able to advise the director of photography on the benefits or limitations of particular set-ups, and be the liaison between the set and the post-production team to create the best possible workflow between the two.
For either client approval or broadcast work, you must ensure everything is being delivered to specific requirements and is timely.
The ideal candidate will have had experience as an on-set DIT and have a proven background in production workflows, data management and archiving, broadcast QC and delivery. As well as an excellent working knowledge of standard video codecs & formats, encoding, standards conversions and file delivery.
