What does a Operations Director do at Hogarth?

The Centralized Production Operations Director is responsible for supporting all of the teams across Hogarth California. This involves maintaining systems, inputting into the onboarding/offboarding process and managing the security procedures for new employees. They role requires a thorough understanding of all areas of the Hogarth/production services business and be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment supporting multiple teams. The Centralized Production Operations Director will support in ad hoc projects related to reporting and systems upgrades

Key responsibilities:
  • Primary administrator and technical expert for all operational tools used by studio teams across Hogarth California.
  • Manages Hogarth global GEO project time-tracking tool. Manages team disclosures and server access.
  • Partners with client Facilities and IS&T teams to plan and execute office moves
  • Primary owner and driver of workflow mapping of projects across both client and Hogarth tools (e.g. client Planning to Hogarth project time tracking)
  • Set up and maintenance of Hogarth user accounts for all Sustain, Launch and Workshop resources
  • Responsible for continuous refinement of processes between WW/Global Production and agencies
  • Resource management capability including process, tools, and tracking for all resource assignments including outside production resources and agencies
  • Ensure workflows and system access for agency Production teams meet security compliance according to global client and Hogarth requirements
  • Responsible for working with finance on resource capacity planning
  • Support Production teams through relevant aspects of quarterly and annual planning by providing detailed resource/scope estimates aligned with the flight-plan
  • Remain current on technology and trends in production
  • Work with the leadership team to instill Hogarth values and build the Hogarth culture

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 15 years relevant experience in managing the operations for a production agency or in-house production department.
  • A deep knowledge of the production process with hands-on experience making the work.
  • Experience working with international roles.
  • Passionate about creating structure and processes that support the development of amazing work in a creative environment.
  • A clear aptitude for development of processes and tools that lead to more highly performing individuals and teams.
  • An ability to develop/deliver solutions to complex problems where analytics, process change/development are keys to success.
