Why we're hiring:

The Sustainability Analyst supports WPP's Sustainability team and external reporting initiatives by collecting and analysing data from across the business. They play an integral supportive role in the production of WPP's Annual Report and Accounts and Sustainability Report by analysing data to communicate progress on WPP's key sustainability issues. The Sustainability Analyst is adept at telling the story of WPP's performance on sustainability to our people, clients and investors by communicating progress against metrics, identifying emerging trends in sustainability issues, and building engaging and insightful reports.

What you'll be doing:
  • Supports the coordination of WPP's sustainability data reporting program, analysing data to identify and rectify quality issues
  • Analyses and presents data for WPP's Annual Report & Accounts and Sustainability Report, liaising with other departments and WPP' companies where required
  • Supports the integration of sustainability metrics into WPP reporting systems as part of WPP's ongoing data transformation programmes
  • Supports annual data assurance and audit activities, working with external consultants to facilitate their review of data
  • Builds engaging and decision-useful reports to engage key internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinates submissions to client and investor RFIs by providing data and coordinating responses from other departments. This includes for Bloomberg's Gender Equality Index, Human Right's Campaign's Corporate Equality Index, SEDEX, Ecovadis, CDP, CDP Supply Chain, the Tortoise Responsibility Index and submissions to ratings agencies
  • Applies their expertise in data analysis and sustainability to support and develop a range of initiatives relating to WPP's sustainability strategy

What you'll need:
  • Undergraduate or Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in a sustainability-related role with an analytical focus
  • A strong understanding of the sustainability issues relevant to a global business
  • Can demonstrate knowledge of sustainability reporting schemes (e.g. CDP, DJSI) and has supported disclosure to such schemes
  • An analytical thinker who is confident with quantitative and qualitative analysis and data management
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI is beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail
