ROLE OVERVIEW :

T he Implementation Engineer will work collaboratively with various business, technology and data experts to develop measurement frameworks of digital properties and implement the data collection techniques to gather rich data about the properties' performance. Beyond implementation, the Implementation Engineer will also be responsible for answering questions about the data and to support making the data actionable, with data-driven insights that inform and inspire the creative process for highly relevant and productive consumer experiences.

AREA OF EXPERTIZE:

Acceleration is part of WPP, the world's largest advertising and marketing services group. Clients come to us to solve today's biggest challenges, surrounding the use of data and technology, to support delivery of improved digital marketing experiences for their customers, across paid, owned and earned environments. Typically, their biggest area of investment is media, and using data and technology, to un-lock value in this area is critical. You will display a distinctive level of subject matter expertise on how to architect and deliver advertising / marketing technology and data strategies that accelerate client value, by increasing customer engagement and personalization in this area. Google is a key partner of ours, and a primary route to market - knowledge of the Google Marketing Platform as well as how Google Cloud can improve marketing efforts is a strong bonus.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate will work on a daily basis with digital analytics platforms to explore complex data sets and make recommendations for marketing strategies and/or site design changes. They will need to be detail-oriented and have a strong technical and working knowledge of digital analytics technologies, and a high aptitude toward working with data visualization technologies and data schema. They will be an expert in identifying and developing data collection strategies to support standard and ad-hoc reporting on key performance indicators that directly measure online campaigns, website and conversion funnel performance.

The candidate will be able to lead the web analytics tag implementation and testing during the development of online media, marketing landing pages, websites, conversion funnels and mobile applications. This includes having a working knowledge of JavaScript and tag manager methodologies. They will be able to provide tag implementation requirements to product managers and technical teams, ensuring best practices are followed. The communication produced will be digestible across teams of different technical capabilities.

As a Google Marketing Partner, our business has a strong relationship with Google and knowledge of the Google Marketing Platform, therefore the Implementation Engineer should have a strong working and technical knowledge of the Google / Digital Marketing Products including Campaign Manager, Display & Video 360, Google Analytics 360, Google Search 360 and be the advocate of that technology and developments within the team and be excited by innovation and technology in our industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Gather business requirements for data collection on digital properties, apps, and IOTs
  • Design measurement frameworks to support business requirements and key objectives
  • Design flexible data collection techniques to support the future evolution of clients' digital ecosystems
  • Understand and articulate data integration opportunities and value
  • Create solutions that are designed with a cookieless future in mind
  • Be a subject matter expert of tag management, digital analytics, and Cloud solutions
  • Collaborate across internal teams to create data collection solutions which span all aspects of our clients' owned and earned properties
  • Hands-on best practiced implementation and delivery of tagging client-side and server-side

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2 + years hands-on experience working with tag management solutions (Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Adobe Launch, Ensighten , etc.)
  • Be an expert in Google Analytics 360, GA4, and other Google technologies
  • Code experience using JavaScript and other client-side languages
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, statistics, computer science, mathematics, economics or other quantitative discipline desired or relevant work experience
  • Master's degree a plus
  • A strong passion for problem solving and innovation
  • Strong aptitude for numerical detail and analysis
  • SQL experience a plus
  • Strong communication and skills
  • Passionate about working in an extremely fast-paced, demanding, and fluid start-up environment as well as having a desire to build a company up from an early stage
