Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer - North America, the Data Engineer/Architect Lead plays a critical role in scoping and delivering cloud consulting engagements with our clients. You will work collaboratively with our experienced Google Cloud and Google Marketing Platform experts to deliver sustainable solutions for our customers. From time to time, you will engage with our partners to unlock cloud delivery opportunities by showcasing our expertise.
The Data Engineer/Architect Lead will be responsible for building scalable and reliable ETL systems to pull large and complex data together from different systems efficiently within the GCP environment. They will collaborate with other data engineers and architects to build the most optimal and efficient ETL and database code as well as align with GCP best practices. This role will be able to explain the design and resolve technical or design conflicts that may arise.

Acceleration is part of WPP, the world's largest advertising and marketing services group. Clients come to us to solve today's biggest challenges, surrounding the use of data and technology, to support the delivery of improved digital marketing experiences for their customers, across paid, owned, and earned environments. Typically, their biggest area of investment in media, and using data and technology, to un-lock value in this area is critical. You will display a distinctive level of subject matter expertise on how to architect and deliver advertising/marketing technology and data strategies that accelerate client value, by increasing customer engagement and personalization in this area. Google is a key partner of ours, and a primary route to market - knowledge of the Google Marketing Platform as well as how Google Cloud can improve marketing efforts is a strong bonus.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Engineer/Architect Lead to join the Data, Insight and Analytics team. You will work with customers to unlock the value of Google's Cloud Platform to create powerful systems able to accomplish vast business use cases, to be innovative on behalf of clients, and to enhance the measurement and activation of media. You will work closely with Data Analysts, Google Cloud, and Google Media experts to deliver ambitious projects for our customers. As part of the role, you will lead the Cloud Engineers and be the core escalation point on projects. You will also have a key role in developing deep relationships with our core partners and showcase our technical capabilities.
