ROLE OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer - NA, the Lead Technology Consultant - Media will work collaboratively with various business, technology and data experts to evaluate our clients' current media solutions, recommend, implement and optimize media solutions to push the boundaries of what has been done before.

AREA OF EXPERTIZE:

Acceleration is part of WPP, the world's largest advertising and marketing services group. Clients come to us to solve today's biggest challenges, surrounding the use of data and technology, to support delivery of improved digital marketing experiences for their customers, across paid, owned and earned environments. Typically, their biggest area of investment is media, and using data and technology, to un-lock value in this area is critical. You will display a distinctive level of subject matter expertise on how to architect and deliver advertising / marketing technology and data strategies that accelerate client value, by increasing customer engagement and personalization in this area. Google is a key partner of ours, and a primary route to market - knowledge of the Google Marketing Platform as well as how Google Cloud can improve marketing efforts is a strong bonus.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are looking for a Lead Media Consultant to offer domain expertise and client support for our UK market. You will work closely with stakeholders and various client-side departments and collaborate across the Paid Media, Client Management, and Google Partner teams as the Lead Consultant across client media solutions.

In this role, you will support the business through consulting with clients to advance their strategy, planning, executing media and technology programs on behalf of amazing brands, pitching, and supporting all aspects of our clients' media activation. Additionally, Media Leads are tasked with developing and supporting their team as well as the broader Data, Analytics & Insight Teams through training, mentorship, and larger process implementation.

The Lead Media Consultant is an expert in the industry landscape and best practices in navigating Search, Social, Display, Video, Audio, and Connected TV activation. The Media Lead develops long-term partnerships with our clients, continuously evaluating their media effectiveness, optimization, and innovation to ensure their businesses benefit and facilitate growth through that relationship.

As a Google Marketing Partner, our business has a strong relationship with Google and knowledge of the Google Marketing Platform, therefore the Media Lead should have a strong working and technical knowledge of the Google / Digital Marketing Products including Campaign Manager, Display & Video 360, Google Analytics 360, Google Search 360 and be the advocate of that technology and developments within the team and be excited by innovation and technology in our industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Offer strategic, architectural insight and consultation for our clients' holistic digital advertising strategy. Including but not limited to the ad serving, media planning, media buying, tag management, creative strategy and production, decisioning, performance reporting, and analytics
  • Evangelize cutting edge Programmatic, Search and Social technology solutions and industry trends
  • Collaborate across internal teams to create holistic media solutions which span all areas of the digital spectrum
  • Hands-on best practiced implementation and delivery of Programmatic, Search and Social solutions
  • Mentor and educate members of the Technology Consulting team to enhance platform expertise, client performance, and individuals' ongoing personal development
  • Partner with Business Development to develop innovative strategies for prospective clients, including asset development, client communication, and in-person client presentations
  • Align with technology leads across the business to create best practices, develop processes, and promote knowledge sharing
  • Oversee/ensure effective deal economics, media allocation, and advertiser investment decisions
  • Develop client insights, reporting, and analysis to build and continually advance client strategies


REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years hands-on experience working with Google Marketing Platform, Campaign Manager, Display & Video 360, Google Analytics 360 and Search 360
  • Experience in enabling conversion optimization solutions across media solutions such as DV360, SA360 and Facebook
  • Experience in enabling data driven attribution for clients using Google Marketing Platform
  • Experience in enhancing media solutions leveraging Google's Ads Data Hub
  • Demonstrable knowledge of display advertising, specifically programmatic, real-time bidding, DSP platforms, attribution models, and associated technologies
  • Experience in industry leading solutions such as Amazon DSP/Amazon Search, The Trade Desk etc.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior employees
  • A strong passion for problem solving and innovation
  • Strong aptitude for numerical detail and analysis
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets skills are essential, Macros & SQL capabilities are a plus
  • Ability to explain architecture proposals to non-technical audiences and communicate business value of suggested ideas & plans
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
