Acceleration is looking for a senior individual to lead, build and optimise the PMO function across North America. The primary function of the role will be to build a robust and scalable PMO capability across North America which incorporates best practice principles across systems, processes and people. A strong stakeholder management mindset, a vigorous and pro-active approach to coordinating operations, a passion for effective execution of deliverables and being commercially savvy will be critical to the success of this role.

Key Objectives
  • Build a scalable and robust PMO practice across people, processes and systems.
  • Define, document and implement best practice project and program management processes.
  • Lead and manage the internal implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead and manage the integration of our services/solutions into the agencies.
  • Improve and optimise our core PMO systems.
  • Develop and build out the required PMO reporting to inform the business.
  • Be accountable for the profitable on-time delivery of the North America portfolio of projects.
  • Effectively manage the capacity and utilisation of the North America teams and inform resourcing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

PMO responsibilities (Non-client facing):
  • Develop the required governance of the PMO to ensure best practice and proactively improve the program and project management tools and processes used by the team.
  • Ensure the delivery of key internal strategic initiatives are tightly managed across stakeholders.
  • Manage the actions required across stakeholders to ensure our services are efficiently integrated into the agencies.
  • Be the product owner of our resource and project management tool.
  • Build reporting that provide insight into resource and program performance and ensure adoption across the relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and regroup at the required cadence to ensure the teams deliver as per scope for the full portfolio of projects managed by the North America PMO team. Escalate any major risks/issues early.
  • Ensure timesheets are complete and accurate to ensure we have real-time insight into current delivery and to manage expectations of the current month's revenue performance.
  • Ensure the full portfolio of project plans are correctly phased and planned for to ensure sufficient insight into forward looking capacity and resource requirements. These plans also inform our revenue forecasts.
  • Support the biz dev and client teams with PMO input by assisting with scope definition, project plans, costing, and providing insight into resources and availability.
  • For large joint delivery with the agencies, be the interface between Acceleration and the agencies.

PMO responsibilities (Client facing):
  • Ensure programs are properly scoped, resourced and delivered upon.
  • Ensure client and agency expectations are managed and met across all programs.
  • Escalate any resourcing constraints to the relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Delivery Management of multiple projects from initiation to completion.

  • Have leadership experience within a PMO environment.
  • At least 10 years' experience responsible for project and program delivery within a technical or professional services environment (Our projects are technical and frequently involve technology vendors).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong commercial understanding.
  • Excellent, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Obsession with detail and planning.
  • Hold a tertiary qualification.
  • Hold a recognised project/program management certification or have completed formal training in project/program management.
  • Knowledge of Ad tech a big plus.
