Who we are looking for:

Wunderman Thompson Atlanta is seeking a Copywriter to work on a spread of some of our largest accounts in a full time position on our award winning creative team. You possess the ability to see the big picture and, while working within a team, can develop keen concepts that exceed client objectives and expectations while engaging others. A next level conceptual thinker and wordsmith, the Wunderman Thompson Copywriter is responsible for conceiving and writing all forms of online advertising, social marketing, production and broadcast content, and email materials that demand attention. You will work both independently and collaboratively - owning a project with some oversight, minus the hand-holding.

We're looking for storytellers with the talent to transform great ideas into engaging creative content. A one-two punch of confidence and inspiration. We are seeking a creative who enjoys selling ideas as much as crafting them.

**This is a remote start opportunity with option for hybrid in-office working capability. Our offices are currently operating in a remote capacity.**

What you'll do:

  • Create | Create and communicate concepts by applying brand level awareness as well as campaign tactics. Develop the written tone and feel of advertising to be executed in various media. Offer strategic and innovative solutions, add/contribute to client meetings, present creative work. Create and document final written decks. Secure approval for all work from the ACD or CD for specific assignments.
  • Collaborate | Partner with Art Director and designers for the timely development and execution of campaigns and projects, including concepting, execution, referencing, and annotating of final deliverables. Collaborate with Account Services to understand client goals, strategy, and feedback. Work closely with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics. Contribute concepts/ideas to new business pitches, pro-bono, and in-house projects. Mentor and coach junior staff.
  • Participate | Present creative in internal meetings. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and other client contact as necessary.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum of 3 years of copywriting experience with demonstrable client work or portfolio.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in an agency setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conceptual and strategic thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of interactive medium and new technologies.
  • Interactive experience is preferred. Solid portfolios with strong concepts and headlines are essential.
