The Director, Talent Acquisition assists in leading VMLY&R's North American talent strategy and growth. This person works closely with the Group Director, Talent Acquisition to develop department policies and procedures that deliver best in industry talent for all open roles within the company.

Responsibilities
  • Model, develop, and motivate junior team members
  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals
  • Promote a culture of creativity and accountability within the talent acquisition team
  • Establish and deepen relationships with hiring managers by providing consultative advice and delivering high quality talent
  • Create strategies and execute tactics to source and secure top talent in efficient and cost-effective ways
  • Assist with leading efforts in developing VMLY&R's brand across all markets
  • Manage the full life cycle recruitment process while maintaining a positive candidate experience through every part of the talent acquisition process
  • Leverage and enhance technology, tools and best practices to optimize processes and performance
  • Proactively build a talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs
  • Manage the day to day full time hiring process for entry to high level positions
  • Coach and provide guidance to hiring managers throughout the search and selection process
  • Maintain a deep understanding of VMLY&R's business
  • Become a trusted advisor for colleagues, business and functional leaders
  • Organize and participate in external and internal job fairs
  • Network to develop a talent pipeline and serve as a VMLY&R brand ambassador at universities, external industry events, award shows, conferences and portfolio reviews
  • Perform budget maintenance and reconciliation
  • Continually stay current on new and developing sourcing avenues
  • Maintain awareness of competitor practices, industry trends and recruitment standards

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR, related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • At least ten years of full life cycle recruiting experience, preferably in an agency environment
  • Demonstrated experience with various social media recruitment methods and industry associations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adjust in real time to competing demands and deadlines to support numerous stakeholders
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Jobvite experience a plus
