As our new Associate Director, Social Media you will lead the systems strategy on your assigned accounts developing distribution approaches for maximum impact of the brand story. An expert in formats and placement, you can design meaningful journeys through data-informed strategies to ensure audiences receive messaging according to their placement in the consumer journey. Working within a team model to service client needs, you will be required to provide strategic direction and leadership within the group with your social brand planning partner amongst your team.

In addition to being a client facing lead, you will be charged with working with external agencies handling media, production, shopper and event activation. Our goal at Ogilvy is to develop integrated strategies that help transform our clients' businesses through customer value and business value, by matching great creative ideas with effective distribution andleading expertise in paid social media.

As a strategic lead, you will identify solutions for delivering best in class work while unlocking growth through organic development. A representative of our social media marketing capability at Ogilvy, you will work with teams to deliver our offering of an end-to-end integrated approach pulling together creative, media and data expertise to deliver nimble and result-driven campaigns for our clients.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and overseeing the execution of social CRM strategies
  • Developing and overseeing the execution of social performance campaigns
  • Lead and develop cross-discipline communication planning and drive synergy with Paid Search, Programmatic, Display, Content Syndication, etc.
  • Design comprehensive media and strategic frameworks that address client objectives and challenges
  • Develop strong client relationships and build trusted partnerships
  • Build, develop and maintain effective media agency relationswith a firm understanding of media planning
  • Manage paid social team, including Social Supervisors, Social Planners and Assistant Social Planners: mentor and coach direct reports
  • Recommend innovative strategic and media tactics consistent with media and content briefing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor representatives for accounts across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and Pinterest (where applicable)
  • Ensure operating procedures and applied across accountsand deviate in specific cases to build custom operating procedures (per client)
  • Demonstrate ability to present strategies/plans/pitches to all level of clients
  • Develop, train, coach and motivate team of Assistant Social Planners, Social Planners, and Social Supervisors
  • Work together with the management to identify and grow incremental business opportunities
  • Develop thought-leadership and provide owned POVs to clients and partners
  • Keep a close relationship with Social capability HQ and other hubs in order to benefit from best practices but also educate other markets with US cases
  • Proactively seek out to design effective media cases
  • Enlarge the opportunities of paid social by exploring new pilots and work with other Directors to build proprietary tools
  • Integrate team of experts into our different client/agency team while keeping the culture, mindset, and knowledge of Social capability HQ
  • Manage professional relationships with media agency leaders and practice leaders
  • Lead tenures of team meetings around industry news and social cases
  • Build social newsletter and work with agency leads for distribution
