In this role you will be a member of the WorkDay Services Team supporting and maintaining our Workday Data, your role will grow as we further deploy and expand our WorkDay coverage both geographically and capability.

Reporting to the Workday Services Data & Integrations Lead this role is accountable for ensuring that WPP's Workday data is maintained, controlled, and loaded as required by our internal standards and business partners, plus as required manage mergers and acquisitions projects.

This is an exciting and varied role working with the wider Workday Services team and our AMS partner to provide a world class level of Workday support and development on a day-to-day basis and in support of Workday project deployments.

The new WorkDay Services team provides the post go-live support and enhancement of the WorkDay solution that replaces some of our core technology and influences our ways of working for many of our colleagues at WPP.

This flagship programme will see Workday deployed across our global landscape to address the technology needs of Finance, Projects, and our People function - so essentially it touches all of our employees to some degree. The key to this programme is that technology is an enabler for change, it's at the heart of what we do, but it's not all of what we do. The people aspects of this programme are vital to its success. This role will help deliver that success on an ongoing basis for many years to come.

What you'll be doing:
  • Support data requests and maintenance alongside our AMS partner
  • Ensure data provided is clean and accurate before loading
  • Create and run a merger and acquisition process for Workday and co-ordinate with other teams to complete the process
  • Maintain expertise on data standards/functionality/features/capabilities in WorkDay, wider industry, and technology trends
  • Continually review data validation rules ensuring they meet the highest standards possible
  • Accountable for maintaining up to date data and associated processes documentation
  • Simplify and automate non-Workday data conversion and validation for upload into WorkDay
  • Safeguard global standards and principles against competing requests and priorities
  • Champion recommendations for continuous improvement


What you'll need:
  • Knowledge of Financial processes and systems
  • Workday experience would be an advantage, however, is not essential as cross-training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Experience of mergers and acquisitions from a data take on perspective
  • Exceptional data experience with Workday experience a bonus
  • Ability to understand business requirements and turn into clear deliverables
  • Experience developing data conversion and validation rules in master data tools
  • Excellent technical understanding of SAAS platforms
  • Manage small projects with multiple teams involved and track work against plan
  • Working alongside outsourced resources
  • Strong ability to work with other platform/product teams to achieve your goals
  • Delivery focused, with high energy and drive
  • Strong risk awareness skills and management of risk
  • Creative solutioning and strong problem-solving skills with agility for fast and simple solutions
  • Credibility, professionalism, and strong personal integrity
  • Ability to mentor new team members from wide and varied backgrounds
