The Strategy department has a key role in realizing that mission, being responsible for driving communication strategy and strategic thinking across our client's businesses. As the marcom landscape becomes more complex, with ecommerce as its main disrupter, clients are more open to an elevated level of marcom strategy service. In-depth analytics and deep end, fresh and innovative insights are key to inform the excellent strategy work we are after.

The Associate Director , Strategy is responsible for supporting the Strategy Directors to help drive analytics and abstracting insights to fuel our strategic proposals. We are looking for talents that possess a solid understanding of marketing/consumer research and data analytics techniques ad resources. Although prior media agency experience is not required, we are looking for backgrounds in media, advertising, marketing, or consulting.

Key is that you have strong analytical skills, and that you are keen to develop further conceptual strategic skills on top of that. You are results-driven, highly creative, and tenacious individual who likes to challenge and inspire.

  • Deliver on analytics and research needs for strategy development with a particular focus on category, brand and especially consumer analytics.
  • Contribute to strategic conceptual thinking, as you work closely with senior strategists on existing clients and new client pitches.
  • Contribute to thought leadership development that is realized for both client presentations as for external marketing purposes.
  • Demonstrate proactivity in bringing new analytics and research initiatives and thinking to the projects you are working on and partnering with internal Data Science and other internal expertise teams, like Commerce, Content and Precision Marketing.
  • Work together with our Data Science teams to evaluate and recommend research sources and tools to be used by our agency.
  • Drive knowledge of research sources and proprietary tools across strategists with a particular focus on consumer insights.

  • BA/BS or MA/MS (concentration in marketing and/or communications helpful)
  • 5-6 years of experience (agency, consultancy, or client related experience)
  • Strong analytical skills, with good knowledge on data and research sources and methodologies
  • Keen to develop further conceptual skills
  • Collaborative; works well in pairs with the strategist, in groups and independently
  • Strong in process driven workstreams
  • Proactively seeks out new opportunities
  • Leader; Insightful and creative
  • Good presentation skills
  • Able to work under timing pressure
