VMLY&R is seeking a social media native to join the agency's connections marketing group as Social Media Supervisor. Working directly with clients and internal teams, the social media supervisor will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing compelling social media programs.

The right candidate will be passionate about social media and its importance in the marketing communications world; have an astute understanding of the social media landscape; possess the vision to help develop the social media practice; and be an organizational leader who believes in and promotes collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and supporting social marketing strategies that deliver on performance results and client business objectives
  • Team leadership with existing social clients and potential new business
  • Working on projects to ensure they are meeting internal and client expectations
  • Educating client and internal teams on social marketing connections value, best practices and ongoing evolution implications
  • Supporting and presenting as part of new and existing business development with emphasis on social marketing opportunities

Required Skills
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with social marketing channels
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead employees and teams
  • Demonstrated success with client relationships, team management and business development

  • Focused attention to detail

Required Experience
  • Five to eight years of experience in a digital marketing environment
  • Developing and supporting social marketing strategies that deliver on performance results and client business objectives
  • Team leadership with existing social clients and potential new business
  • Working on projects to ensure they are meeting internal and client expectations
  • Educating client and internal teams on social marketing connections value, best practices and ongoing evolution implications
  • Supporting and presenting as part of new and existing business development with emphasis on social marketing opportunities
