What does a HR Director do at Hogarth?

The HR Director will be a trusted partner to leaders across multiple business units of our rapidly growing agency. They will be instrumental in leading the efforts to set the tone, as well as shape our agency's culture. This role will work with operational leaders to influence strategy, maximize workforce capabilities, and advance key agency goals.

General areas of responsibility include partnering with business units and departments, employee relations, benefits, reporting, data analysis and talent development as well as ad hoc Human Resource related projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with business leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution
  • Primary strategic partner to the business, developing HR strategies, needs assessments and resulting HR solutions
  • Ensuring the effective communication of all HR programs and services across all levels of the business
  • Partner closely with key executives to advise and coach on creating, implementing, and driving a high-quality talent strategy to effectively meet and exceed client expectations
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects as needed to improve HR processes, policies and systems
  • Work with leaders and employees to identify, establish, and maintain a positive work environment and authentic culture which encourages diversity, inclusion, and collaboration
  • Develop the overall HR function, ensuring appropriate representation of assigned functions while creating new HR processes, systems and approaches that progress the agency as a whole
  • Being innovative, a champion for change and assist in implementing new policies and programs as appropriate
  • Oversee the integration of employees from acquired companies and joint ventures
  • Proactively assess, and create short term solutions to business needs while also solving for long term problems through root cause analysis and improvement
  • Ensure that HR is a safe place to solve employee relations issues and provide guidance
  • Oversee all HR functions, including benefits, compensation, immigration, and talent acquisition and management
  • Emphasize and exemplify our Core Values in all actions and activities
  • Work with our parent company, WPP, to provide reports and data as required

Requirements:
  • 10-12+ years of progressive Human Resources experience or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a corporate environment working with operational and support groups to achieve business objectives
  • Organization design and development experience, including strong change management, for a complex growing organization
  • Strong executive presence and proven experience directly supporting and coaching senior leaders and business partners
  • Highly collaborative: brings people together and influences leaders to make better people decisions that advance the agency, our people, and our clients
  • Team player with an interest in process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Critical thinker with demonstrated success in developing and implementing innovative solutions to business needs
  • Creativity, passion, and strong critical thinking skills with a willingness to take reasonable risk and challenge the status quo
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership in a fast-moving agency environment; proactive problem solver with a roll-up-one's-sleeves attitude and strong work ethic
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
