About the role

As Group Account Director you will be responsible for the running of key client accounts and accountable for creating a team and relationships where best in class work can flourish. This role is responsible for the financial management and profitability of your business, ongoing client satisfaction, organic growth and team development. You will be responsible for creating an environment where your teams are empowered to produce great work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with your ECD, Strategy, Experience, Technology and Commerce leads to deliver on your business's needs and achieve strategic and creative excellence
  • Develop strong and enduring relationships based on honesty, openness and trust with senior clients, and senior agency personnel.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge and experience of the industry, in particular marketing and communication strategies.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of your client's business, working collaboratively to achieve their business and communications objectives.
  • Possess an excellent understanding of what makes for good strategic and creative work.
  • Responsible for defining the client practices and processes, this will include setting account plans, developing the long-term strategic direction of the business and highly developed commercial acumen.
  • Hungry for business growth, constantly seeking improvements and opportunities.
  • Take pride in growing and developing your agency team through training and development, staff performance reviews, career development.
  • Contributing to agency culture as ambassador, both internally and externally
Required Experience/Skills/Capabilities
  • 8+ years' experience
  • Dynamic leadership, management and team building skills
  • Strong relationship building skills and consultative approach
  • Demonstrated influence management skills
  • Ability to delegate effectively and obtain leverage where appropriate
  • Ability to translate broad marketing goals into technical/analytical applications; and synthesise analytic results into relevant and strategic marketing recommendations
  • Superior project management and implementation skills
