Imagine yourself as part of the Ogilvy Learning for Health (LFH) team, applying your specialist knowledge and skills to support the design, development, implementation and management of medical education programmes. Your key focus for 2022 will be to deliver hybrid medical education events for healthcare professionals. Our goal is to shape the way Pharma-sponsored events are designed and delivered to optimise the attendee learning experience. You will play a key role in ensuring learning design remains front and centre of a series of standalone medical education events. You must have at least 5 years' experience in designing and delivering face-to-face, virtual and hybrid learning events, excellent pedagogical knowledge and experience of working with different learning technologies and platforms. In addition to developing learning programmes across multiple platforms you must have pharmaceutical industry or medical education experience.

Key responsibilities related to hybrid events include but are not limited to:

  • Based on client strategic objectives, input into the development of long-term medical education strategic plans
  • Based on client strategic objectives provide advice and informed recommendations on event design, including what aspects are face-to-face, virtual or hybrid
  • Work alongside medical writers and subject matter experts to identify learning needs
  • Work with client and internal teams to agree learning outcomes and strategy for the event or event series
  • Develop hybrid (face-to-face and remote) learner journeys to support the learning outcomes and strategic objectives of the event
  • Align learner journeys to delegate/customer engagement journeys and use to inform content, channel, and outcome measurement plans
  • Apply robust principles of instructional design at a macro (event) and micro (content) level to ensure the learning experience is optimised for attendees
  • Work alongside the project teams to ensure the learning strategy is effectively carried through (operationalised) into the meeting
  • Provide consultancy on the optimum learning technologies and techniques available to support the delivery of the event
  • Work alongside faculty and in-house medical writers to ensure learning content is effective and will deliver the learning outcomes for the meeting
  • Support with the design and delivery of a variety of learning sessions, including workshops, masterclasses and interactive plenaries
  • Support the development and implementation of an outcome measurement plan to evaluate the effectiveness of the event


General responsibilities:

  • Active and engaged member of the LFH team
  • Advocates for best practice in learning, education & performance
  • Proactively shares specialism-specific knowledge with the wider Ogilvy Health team
  • Leadership of specialist aspects of new business activities (organic and new new)
  • Rapidly understand key client challenges and distil for others in the wider team
  • Apply specialist knowledge and skill at a strategic level to solve client challenges and ensure that strategic approaches are pulled through into tactical implementation
  • Behaves as a role model, demonstrating excellent personal and business behaviours, contributing to an inclusive, collaborative, and creative working environment
  • Provides consultancy on strategy, delivery and content (as needed) for multiple accounts, as related to specialist area
  • Responsible for the learning strategy on key accounts, working with the assigned scientific and client services team to ensure that the strategy is embedded across all projects
  • Works in partnership with senior client services team members
  • Works in partnership with in-house subject matter experts/medical writers
