Choreograph is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to join our team. You will work with a team of DBAs and developers to deliver appropriately tested solutions. The team will receive steering from its Product Owner regarding the backlog and priorities. You will participate in requirement workshops, estimation of tasks, and the implementation of tests.

You will also be a member of the QA Chapter organization, which provides a platform for cooperation for all the testing efforts across different teams. You will have an impact on the choices of approaches and technologies used across all the teams.

  • Use the testing frameworks to provide the coverage for functional and non-functional tests for code delivered by your team
  • Contribute to the development of testing frameworks
  • Advise engineers on their testing approaches
  • Take part in specification workshops where we define the functional and non-functional characteristics of our systems - executable Specification
  • Oversee the implementation of the executable Specification based acceptance testing
  • Maintain high-quality standards across the testing automation codebases
  • Advise on configuration of the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines and practices
  • We have a very strong preference on automation of testing. You might be asked to review some manual processes and turn them into code

  • Proven track of creation and maintenance of test harnesses for applications, APIs and UI.
  • Automated testing is code - you will be comfortable writing software and applying standard software engineering practices (E.g. code reviews, pair programming, collective ownership of code, maintenance of coding standards, continuous integration, etc.)
  • You know how to analyse the requirements to be able to create a clean and clear definition of deliverables. The team then uses this definition to drive your tests.
  • You have good experience as a test automation engineer (or another comparable position
  • You have a good understanding of programming languages such as Pythonm C#, PHP and JavaScript.
  • You are aware of the QA process, and a certification according to ISTQB is advantageous.
  • You have a high competence in the definition of test cases.
  • You have knowledge of modern web technologies, RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • You are confident in using tools for test automation (preferably Selenium WebDriver / Cypress) and ideally you have already gained knowledge in dealing with web services and the associated technologies HTTP, REST and JSON.
  • You are familiar with Gherkin specification language and testing frameworks based on it.
  • You are familiar with advanced container systems with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • You have basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.
  • You have a strong analytical ability, are familiar with analysis of log files using modern log management systems.
  • You are a team player with very good written and spoken English skills
Our Compensation and Benefits (fo r Color ado residents only)

Base C ompensation Range: $80,000-$90,000

The actual amount may be higher or lowe r, based on the experience of the applicant .
