The Senior Associate, Programmatic Services is the core of a fast paced, solutions-oriented team. As a Specialist, you will work closely with clients, WPP agency partners, Headlight Programmatic Coordinators, Analysts, and Managers to ensure the success of programmatic advertising campaigns. The responsibilities of this role include client relationship management, campaign setup, QA and optimization of programmatic media campaigns, troubleshooting campaign issues related to pacing, performance and margin, and developing strategic recommendations that support the objectives of our clients and create incremental revenue opportunities for Xaxis. This role has a mastery of industry-leading programmatic platforms, a deep understanding of the digital media industry, and demonstrates programmatic expertise through their ability to identify actionable insights from data and provide them to clients as tactical recommendations.

Responsibilities/What You'll Do

  • Oversee the start to finish setup and launch of campaigns in the media buying platforms (DSPs)
  • Communicate thoroughly with, respond rapidly to, and escalate urgent matters brought by clients and agency partners
  • Lead a team responsible for executing all aspects of campaign maintenance, including proactive performance checks and optimizations, pacing updates, optimizations and profitability
  • Monitor campaign health, issuing projection analyses and reallocation recommendations when necessary
  • Assist with campaign analytics, derive insights from data, and contribute strategic recommendations to improve campaign performance and pacing
  • Use programmatic knowledge and DSP capabilities to provide smart, operationally-sound programmatic recommendations to clients and agency partners
  • Collaborate with Programmatic Coordinators, Analysts and Operations teams to ensure fiscal accountability, to monitor and proactively optimize towards performance goals, provide audience insights, and ensure smooth campaign execution
  • Turn insights into recommendations that align with or enhance client strategy
  • Keep abreast of industry trends through trade journals, workshops and current events
  • Provide data-backed actionable insights for campaign optimization notes
  • Occasionally lead trainings and provide mentorship for new hires


Qualifications/Who You Are

  • Able to persuasively present original ideas to all levels of clients and agency partners
  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge of DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, programmatic execution, verification partners, and data partnerships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Familiarity with advanced optimization strategies to deliver against standard programmatic KPIs for client satisfaction and budget growth
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to de-mystify programmatic jargon for clients and agency counterparts
  • Analytical aptitude and strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity while managing multiple timelines, competing priorities, and agency relationships.
  • Quick learner who loves to pick up new tools for reporting and analysis
  • Proactive; can troubleshoot technical issues through to resolution
  • Intelligent, resourceful, entrepreneurial type with strong technical acumen
  • An innate curiosity for advertising technology
  • SQL, HTML experience a plus
