Who we are looking for: Wunderman Thompson Health seeks a Senior Experience Designer in our Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, creative, and energetic and provide expertise on a collaborative User Experience team. As a Senior Experience Designer, you will provide expertise on a collaborative team, using your skills to apply user-centered design techniques and effectively create and present designs and POVs to clients, internal and external teams. A background in marketing and advertising is essential. What you'll do:
  • Design | Demonstrate a passion and talent for concepting, designing, and delivering user-centered and intuitive information architecture, interaction design, and layout for interactive experiences. Balance user needs with client goals. Exhibit thorough, detail-oriented attention in creating and notating wireframes, site maps, process flows, taxonomy identification, sitemaps, functional specifications. Possess excellent Sketch skills for wireframing and collaboration with visual designers on final comps and Invision for prototyping.
  • Collaborate | Consult on information architecture issues and usability with client and interdisciplinary teams (Strategy, Marketing Intelligence, Creative, and Development). Assist in brief development and digital strategy, including digital audits, heuristic evaluations, and KPI development. Facilitate internal & client workshops in the creation of personas.
  • Review and Revise | Actively participate in internal and client walkthroughs and presentations. Conduct research and testing, Present designs and POVs to internal and external teams. Provide route review and feedback.
Who you are:
  • Subject Matter Expert | Exhibit an understanding of current web standards and limitations. Possess knowledge of the wide range of viewports from desktop to mobile, and the impact the viewport has on usability and architecture. Help determine the strategic and tactical direction for clients. Enforce consistency of standards across client work and for enterprise. Possess an understanding of user research, usability testing, and Customer experience/journey mapping.
  • Open and collaborative | Our team is close-knit and supportive and we're working with a lot of unknowns - you must champion team environments that are comfortable and encouraging.
  • Optimistic and resilient | Dig in and figure out how to work around problems. Exemplify a "Yes and why not?" posture.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years User Experience design in marketing or digital advertising.
  • Portfolio of UX-related client projects.
  • Experience with interpreting analytics to help guide the creation of interactive experiences
  • Experience with Sketch and Invision. Experience with Axure, Adobe XD, Figma, Zeplin is preferred.
  • Awareness of UX and design industry trends.
  • Some knowledge of healthcare multichannel marketing techniques and best practices.
