VMLY&R is seeking a Technology Specialist focused on Tagging & Analytics Implementation. As a member of the Marketing Technology team, this Technology Specialist will work cross-functionally across multiple teams, including data & analytics, media and development, to ensure high-quality data operations. This role will build knowledge across multiple systems and how they interact with one another, ensuring that data is flowing between solutions for analysis and activation.

Responsibilities
  • Tag Management
    • Creation, management and governance of tags
    • dataLayer management and governance
    • Tagging implementation guide management and governance
  • JavaScript
    • dataLayer management based on new feature implementation
    • dataLayer best practices (Page load data vs Customer interaction data)
    • Legacy implementation refactoring

Skills, & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven knowledge of JavaScript and an understanding of popular libraries and frameworks
  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • Experience working in Tag Management Systems (TMS) such as Tealium iQ, Adobe DTM, Adobe Launch, or Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and SCRUM delivery
  • In-depth understanding of how a Tag Management System works
  • General understanding of digital marketing channels, marketing technology and advertising technology
  • Strong problem-solving skills, breaking down complex issues to find the root cause
  • Keen attention to detail and willing to pay attention to the "small things"
  • Confident in your ability to explain complex, technical subjects to non-technical folks
  • Confident in your ability to read, write, and troubleshoot JavaScript code
  • Have a great desire to learn new things and are quick at applying newly learned skills
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, other departments, clients and vendors
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Establishes and maintains productive working relationship with internal and external contacts. Must be able to work in a team environment and share knowledge
