Responsibilities:
• Build and grow an internal health and wellness practice in China under the Grey/Tank banner, by: o Leveraging the vision established by the Grey Global H&W Practice o Identifying organic growth opportunities from an existing client base (i.e., GSK, Pfizer, Lilly), and; o Prospecting new healthcare clients - both locally (domestic only accounts) and as the local market lead of regional/global accounts (primarily led out of our NY, London, and Montreal offices)
• Liaise with senior clients to understand macro business challenges and identify opportunities for how the agency can best partner/deliver.
• Partner with existing Grey/Tank business leaders in other markets on shared and prospective clients.
• Establish a relationship with WPP Country Manager in order to source new business and networking opportunities.
• Contribute to the strategic evolution of key brands/businesses in partnership with client.
• Be seen as a resource and a door-opener. Manage without micromanaging.
• Identify talent and resource needs required to build an efficient practice and position it for growth.
• Display leadership qualities both internally and externally.
• Lead new business pitches
• Report directly to Grey China CEO, with secondary reporting to President of Grey Global H&W and Tank CEO. Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or local university equivalent
• 15+ years advertising experience (of which +10 years should be within pharmaceutical communications)
• Significant background in pharmaceutical advertising account management and/or client-side experience (can be within marketing and/or sales)
• Energetic team player with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Proficient digital experience within the pharmaceutical communications
• Exhibit strong managerial and strategic skills
• Have a strong desire to drive strategic development, lead a collaborative team, and immerse yourself in a variety of new assignments
• Experience in pitching/winning new business
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Ability to supervise, train, and mentor team members
