A Hybrid working model

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people. The role will be responsible to use Deltagen CAD software to organise and manipulate customers CAD data and export into cgi production software for CG studios to create content which includes automotive on-line configurators. Understand all aspects of the 'CAD to 3D model' process and understand other software tools such as Unreal Engine to assess quality of the model's delivery to other CGI teams. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients on a professional level about the complex subjects of CAD and data formats.

Responsibilities:
  • Use Deltagen (some training will be given for our pipeline) to manipulate, build and organise complex CAD data sets from all types of product manufactures but mainly automotive.
  • Responsible for quality control of the Master Deltagen file with data quality and build accuracy.
  • Port processed data into the Unreal Engine to ensure the best 3d 'ready to go' models.
  • Run projects/part projects from brief to delivery ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Be able to prepare non-Deltagen CAD and 3D files from different sources and deliver to client requirements.
  • Understand and follow all modelling production workflows and procedures, ensuring all data assets produced meet the required specification through quality checks.
  • Develop the workflow and aid internal process development.
  • Have a good cgi generalist knowledge.

  • Consistently share knowledge at team meetings and share work you have produced to participate in the continual development of the CGI Studio and gain valuable feedback.
  • Proactively develop your own technical skills and understanding, to contribute towards the overall efficiency and innovation of the CGI Studio.

Requirements:
  • Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree or diploma in CGI discipline, related 2D/3D discipline or proven experience in the industry.
  • Confident with MS Office suite especially spread sheets.
  • Experience with automotive CAD and 3d data organisation in Deltagen
  • Experience in a role focussing on the use of automotive CAD and 3d data organisation.
  • Able to demonstrate a pragmatic approach to solving issues with CAD data, customer provided information, such as: material assignment, texture, image references, etc,.
  • Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of industry standard software.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of how to approach and resolve problems with software.
  • Able to demonstrate working in a team environment to achieve goals.
  • Strong experience solving and resolving technical issues for others.
  • Understanding of Autodesk 3DS MAX, Maya, Rhino, Catia, Team centre
  • Some experience of the Unreal Engine
  • Basic experience of software scripting languages - such as Python.
  • Understanding of on-line automotive configuration logic applications
  • Experience in the digital content creation industry
  • Energy and enthusiasm to progress and contribute towards the overall efficiency and quality of the Studio
  • A trouble-shooter and problem solver
  • Team orientated, able to work as part of a team as well as autonomously
  • Driven individual with a passion for automotive data and continual improvement in the field
  • Able to manage own workloads and deliver on time to the required standard
