YOUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL:

This is a 13month fixed-term contract to cover Parental Leave. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, and offers hybrid working.

The purpose of the Accounts Payable Officer role is to provide a high level of effective and efficient Accounts Payable (AP) services for WPP AUNZ businesses within a shared service centre environment. The role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure payments and query resolutions are consistently delivered to a high standard. The role will also be responsible for developing business relationships with the Operating Companies being supported.

WHAT YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME DOING:

Accounts Payable
  • Performing AP related duties for processing supplier invoices, employee related expense claims and third party payments
  • Responding to supplier account queries and resolving any invoice discrepancies in a professional manner
  • Delivering a high standard of customer service to WPPAUNZ businesses and suppliers
  • Managing payment of suppliers in accordance with payment terms
  • Preparing electronic funds transfers
  • Producing monthly AP reconciliation reports and ensuring these reconcile to supplier statements if required
  • Assisting with month-end closing reports and reconciliations
  • Regularly monitoring the completeness and accuracy of supplier records and master files.

  • Escalate matters to management as appropriate

Transforming processes
  • Identifying and communicating process and/or workflow improvement opportunities and opportunities for automation of processes
  • Writing and regularly reviewing process documentation and/or providing feedback and assistance with documentation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • 2+ years' experience in the Accounts Payable field
  • Strong people interaction and relationship building skills
  • Sound data entry and administration experience
  • Advanced MS Office skills, with high degree of confidence in MS Excel
  • Experience using financial systems including ERP and electronic workflow solutions, Spectra PF and Maconomy desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Ability to work well with others; a desire to be part of a team
  • Effective organisation skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude amidst an environment of constant change
  • Ability and experience in working with and meeting key performance targets
  • Working knowledge of AP principles, practices and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
