The Role:

The role ensures flawless development and execution of world-class communications supporting our most important client's business goals. Based in Shanghai, China, the Junior Print Production Manager provides good project management skills to maintain schedules for all printed materials on various substrates. The range of work includes in-store graphics, event graphics, signage, outdoor large graphic and collaterals. The candidate must have good color analysis skills and comprehensive knowledge of pre-press, large and small format litho, and finishing techniques (fabric printing and offset/inkjet prints). Experience with digital and photographic mediums is required, and supervision of on-site installations is preferable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and brief print jobs to suppliers and outsource print management responsibilities to production agencies as necessary.
  • Supervise suppliers during proofing, color management, and printing phases, including on-site press and bindery checks, finishing, quality control, and spot-checking. The print Production Manager will visit printers regularly.
  • Oversee external production agencies when they perform any of the above services.
  • This role will involve reporting to the Print Production Management Lead.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure that all parties strictly follow the production specifications and schedules.
  • Provide color guidance and advice on the best methods for quality control, as well as time and cost efficiency. Keep clients informed of the production status of all projects.

Requirements:
  • University degree and 2-3 years of print production and graphic design experience in a production agency or in-house corporate graphic design department.
  • Familiar with various printed advertising applications both indoor and outdoor, such as large format graphic, barricade, luxury paper box, etc. experience in complex graphic installation supervision.
  • Must be proactive, highly organized, excellent at multitasking, comfortable under pressure, and able to work effectively as a team member.
  • Some experience in Adobe Creative Suite will be helpful but not mandatory.
  • Strong written and spoken skills required for English and Chinese.
  • Must be able to travel as required.
