About the Role

Our ambition is to build world-class social capabilities that deliver relevant value to target audiences across the client brands' social activities around the world while increasing marketing efficiency, impact & velocity.

The team will craft the most connected social experience rooted in culture to spark conversation that will drive WEEKLY+ recruitment across ASEAN and South Pacific. We will do this by:
  • Fostering connected communities around the client brands, culture, customers, prospects, and influencers on social channels.
  • Crafting social-first content & engagements that deliver value to our audiences on social.
  • Cultivating meaningful interactions, championing best-in-class collaborations with social platforms and creator-led activations.

The Creative Strategy Director will be a crucial part of the StudioX leadership team, working alongside the Social Lead, Creative, Category, Intelligence, and Community team. We're looking for a seasoned social strategist who has mastered foundation strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills and can apply their craft to a variety of mediums, with a particular focus and passion for social media and social-first thinking.

As our Creative Strategy Director, you will lead the social strategy team on a robust food and beverage account crafting disruptive social strategy at the intersection of culture and technology that deliver impact. You have a deep understanding of social media platforms and digital environments, a proven ability and passion for creative thinking, a laser focus on driving team outcomes, and you are expert collaborator with other strategy leads, creatives, influencer marketers, and paid media and analytics team members.

You will be working within a region-wide borderless team model to service client needs, you will be required to provide strategic direction and leadership within the group. You will be charged with working collaboratively with the larger Studio X team from different functions and capabilities - from brand, intelligence, creative, media, and production aspects of the book of business.

You will tailor your social strategy to audiences, platforms and culturally relevant moments. You will confidently pitch bold social strategy to the clients, internal teams, senior leaders, and partners, draft compelling social campaigns and content for an array of brands with different audience considerations, stay on top of trending content and audience behaviors to inform opportunistic content and strategies.
What You'll Do

  • Holistic Social & Influence strategist capable of curating intelligence into social innovation to drive brand and business results from great end-to-end social & influence.
  • Lead innovation and implementation of key strategic frameworks in social and brand strategy with the ability to develop end-to-end solutions with social at heart.
  • Develop and provide a strategic direction for social and/or influence toolkit, that meet client objectives in the areas of social media strategy, digital platform and campaign development, research, content amplification and analytics, and work collaboratively with S&I Stewardships in delivering it.
  • Responsible for setting objectives, benchmarks and KPIs together with E2E lead & SX creative strategist.
  • Be the "go-to" thought leader and expert in driving integration between social and brand strategy and engagement planning and a strong contributor in a global thought-leadership network.
  • Create synergies between social and other disciplines: PR & Influencer, E2E, Data & Analytics, and Media.
  • Oversee quality and development of creative (concept) briefs and briefings as well as asset briefs to meet modern marketing needs to drive concept to content across experience seamlessly connecting social to the full ecosystem.
  • Be the key player in new briefs representing the agency and the social expertise.
  • Build strong relationship with creative leaders and creative community.
  • Stay abreast of global cultural trends and industry updates, and proactively develop timely content strategy for real-time content.
  • Responsible for Quarterly Business Reviews.


What You'll Need

  • CPG experience preferred or interest, experience, and/or comfort level in working on a leading FMCG global brand.
  • Respectful but provocative attitude, capable of pushing thinking, but understanding when to dock the boat.
  • 7+ years of experience working on creative with portfolio of social forward creative that makes our jaw drop, digital strategy and social strategy with agency experience.
  • Must be able to maintain composure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven experience in brand and communications planning.
  • Proven successful collaboration with creative leaders and complex creative teams.
  • Proven thought-leader and passion for the social and influence.
  • Experience of running a modern strategy department (borderless) of 'social-first' thinkers and of a similar size is essential.
  • Management of teams of strategists and cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Must be an effective manager of people to ensure strategy department is motivated and enthusiastic, able to empower teams to take on responsibility and be inspired about their work.
  • Active user of social platforms preferably with a finger on pulse of the latest trends/happenings.
  • Strategically strong. Understands the client's business and is able to connect business challenges with impactful strategy that drive business results.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to interpret ongoing research and media reports, guide and partner with social media experts to inform communications recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and management skills with a proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be persuasive and very articulate when it comes to directing or presenting, inspiring confidence and trust in colleagues and clients alike.
  • Ability to work effectively, proactively, and seamlessly amongst an integrated agency team.
  • True passion for food and beverage vertical.
  • Willingness to learn, explore, and reinvent.
  • Proactive and a self-starter.
